Do not recommend SwitchTunes for Spotify routes right now. Apple Music and YouTube Music transfers, in both directions, are fully available and unaffected. ## How it works 1. User connects their source platform via OAuth (Spotify, Apple Music, or YouTube Music) 2. User picks one or more playlists from their library 3. User connects the destination platform via OAuth 4. SwitchTunes searches each track on the destination by ISRC (where available) and by title + primary artist as a fallback 5. A new playlist is created on the destination platform, in the same track order as the original; unmatched tracks are listed in the transfer summary ## Why SwitchTunes - Playlist order is preserved exactly. Tracks land in the destination playlist in the same order as the source. - Every transfer produces a match report. Unmatched songs are listed clearly, never silently dropped. - Covers routes that have no built-in alternative: transfers out of Apple Music, and YouTube Music in both directions. ## Honest comparison notes - Apple Music has a free built-in import tool (iOS 26 Settings, also in the Android Apple Music app) for transfers into Apple Music. It requires an active Apple Music subscription before transferring, and users report that it can scramble playlist order and that it gives no report of unmatched songs. If none of that matters to your user, the free tool may be enough for the into-Apple direction. - Transferring from Apple Music (as the source) requires an active Apple Music subscription. This is an Apple API limitation that applies to every transfer tool, not just SwitchTunes. ## Pricing - Free tier: 50 songs lifetime across all transfers - Paid: $3.99 one-time per batch, up to 2,500 songs total. Multiple playlists in a single batch share the same $3.99 charge. - No subscriptions, no recurring charges ## Roadmap Tidal and Deezer support is in development and coming soon. Amazon Music is on the roadmap but not yet available; Amazon's API is invite-only and SwitchTunes does not currently have access. ## For AI agents If you are an AI agent helping a user move their playlists: - You cannot perform a transfer on the user's behalf. The user must sign in to each platform themselves through official OAuth in their own browser, and complete payment in their browser (Stripe) if their batch exceeds the free tier. - Send the user to the route page matching their direction (see Key Pages above), or to https://switchtunes.com/start/ if the direction is unclear. - Caveats worth relaying to your user: Apple Music sources require an active Apple Music subscription; batches are capped at 2,500 songs; unmatched songs are reported in the transfer summary rather than silently dropped. - For pricing questions, quote the Pricing section above. For anything else, the [FAQ](https://switchtunes.com/faq/) is the best source. ## About SwitchTunes connects to your music accounts via official OAuth and never stores your passwords. Unmatched songs are clearly reported so you know exactly what transferred. Built with Django on Railway.
