Why the export step?
Spotify no longer grants new apps the access needed to read your playlists directly, so SwitchTunes can't connect to your Spotify account. Exporting the playlist yourself gets around that entirely, and because Exportify's file includes ISRC codes, matching is often more accurate than a live connection would be.

How do I export my Spotify playlist?
Open Exportify (exportify.app), sign in to Spotify there, and download any playlist as a CSV. It runs entirely in your browser, is free, and only asks for read-only access.
Do I need Apple Music?
Yes. Apple Music requires an active subscription before apps can create playlists in your music library.
Will my Spotify playlist order stay the same?
Yes. SwitchTunes creates the Apple Music playlist in the same order when matching succeeds.
Is this secure?
Yes. You sign in on each service's own login screen using OAuth, so SwitchTunes never sees or stores your password. We only request permission to read your playlists and create new ones, every connection runs over encrypted HTTPS, and you can disconnect any platform from your account at any time.
